DADE CITY, Fl. - “The difference between a corporate run business and a family owned business is night and day,” said Krista Williamson, Jarrett Ford Dade City’s Business Manager. “That’s why I came here, and I’m so glad I did.”

Originally from Pennsylvania, Williamson moved to New Port Richey with her family when she was six and would then graduate from Gulf High School years later. 

Post graduation, Williamson found herself working in retail and then in the insurance medical billing industry. After a few years, she realized that wasn't where she wanted to be, so she reached out to AutoNation in Brooksville, Florida, and was offered a job. 

AutoNation, a corporate run store, was where Williamson would call home for 10 years, but realized that the corporate industry wasn't allowing her to spend time with those she loved most, including her furry, four-legged friends. 

“My passion is animals,” said Williamson. “And I wasn't able to spend as much time caring for them when I worked in the corporate world.”

Williamson soon realized she had connections with people who worked at Jarrett Ford Dade City, and used the friendship of a mutual friend to feel out job opportunities there.

When she found out there was availability in the Business Department, she jumped on the opportunity. 

“It’s really timing that made me be able to come to Dade City,” said Williamson. “Life is all about timing, and the timing on this was perfect.”

Perfect timing led Williamson to a career with a family-owned and run business that gave her the ability to balance work and the passion she has for animals. 

“It’s great,” said Williamson. “I have time for my animals now. It’s a family-run store, so I can balance my life. I rescue animals and this job gives me a better family/work balance.”

Jarrett Ford Dade City has allowed Williamson to not only balance her work and family life, but has also allowed her to cultivate her passion for animals, and establish her roots. 

“I like my roots,” said Williamson. “And Jarrett Ford has allowed me to set them.”
