KIM WILLIAMS
Office Manager
Organization is the key to success. Organization leads to a well-run office. Organization keeps everyone on the same page.
Kim ‘Organization” Williams should be the Jarrett Ford Dade City office manager’s full name.
Born and raised in the Dade City area, specifically, San Antonio, Florida, Williams went through school the way most do within the area. Grade school at San Antonio Elementary School, middle school at Pasco Middle School and high school at Pasco High School.
It was during her middle school years when her father, long-time San Antonio resident Eddie Williams, fulfilled his dream and opened the local rollerskating rink, Eddie’s Roller Rink, still open today.
“It was his dream,” said Williams. “We opened it in 1988 and it’s still here today.”
Post graduation, Williams found herself working part-time as a receptionist at Jarrett Ford Dade City and going to school at Pasco Hernando Community College, now known as Pasco Hernando State College.
“I worked as a receptionist for about a month,” said Williams. “Then positions opened in the accounting office so I moved there and worked that side of the job.”
While Williams was learning all the tricks of the trade in the accounting office, the office manager at the time left, and she was offered the job.
“Timing worked well for me,” said Williams. “When the office manager left, they offered me the job. I've now been working in this position since ’01.”
It will be 20 years at Jarrett Ford Dade City in December of this year, and Williams can’t imagine being anywhere else, even if her being with Jarrett Ford for 20 years wasn’t the original plan.
“I love everyone here,” said Williams. “I hadn't planned on staying here as long as I have. I wouldn't have stayed as long as I have if I truly didn't like who I'm around.”
Twenty years is a statement.
Twenty years with one business means that someone truly loves who they’re with, and for Williams, there couldn't be a more accurate statement.
“I love everyone here,” said Williams. “I’m glad I’m here. They’re family.”
Organization and good timing is why Williams got the job, but the family within the business is why she stayed.
